I’m happy to announce that, a few days ago, Freshdesk acquired its 50,000th customer.
The journey to 50,000 customers has been a phenomenal ride for everyone at Freshdesk and not just because of the milestone itself. It took us three years to reach the 25,000 customers mark. We added the next 25,000 in the last 12 months.
Four years ago, when six of us were sitting in a warehouse working on the first version of our product, we never imagined we would get this far.
Today, we have built a company that has scaled to 500+ people across four offices – San Francisco, London, Sydney, and Chennai – and our products are touching the lives of millions of people across the world.
As we pause to celebrate our success and reflect on our achievements, it both feels like we’ve come a long way and also, somehow, like we’re just getting started.
I would like to thank all of our customers, our reseller partners, and employees for making this possible. We could have never made it here without you. I just have one thing to tell you – it’s only going to get better.
Welcoming 1CLICK.io and their team to Freshdesk
Our next big announcement for the day is about our first acquisition.
We’re excited to announce that we’re acquiring 1CLICK.io, a video chat and co-browsing platform. The 1CLICK.io team will be joining us in our vision to make delivering customer happiness refreshingly easy.
The acquisition will help us expand our product’s functionality and allow our customers to provide better real-time support through video chat, voice chat, and co-browsing. This means, eventually, support agents will be able to view the customer’s screen and interact with it in real-time, on a web page, while chatting with the customer through video/live chat.
With their expertise in building simple, customer-focused products, I’m certain that the 1CLICK team will be a powerful addition to our team. We look forward to working together with the 1CLICK team on the future of customer collaboration.
