Showcasing your support ratings to the world is like inviting people to take a peek at your journal. Truth is pretty harsh, and they may really not like what they see. Worse, they could tell some mutual friend and well, you know the drill. But if they see what you’ve got and take you for it, there is no way they are turning back; you’ve won them over. After all, you are an open book with no ugly surprises.
Well, that is why I fell in love with 37signals anyway. The transparency they exhibit with their “Smiley” page is just astonishing and comforting. That many smiles on a page can mean only one thing – there are a bunch of rockstar support agents waiting to help me out, come what may.
So when our friends(and customers) at Pressable built their own version of the Happiness Report, based on their Freshdesk support ratings, we were kind of blown away. This was something that everyone should be doing, something that the whole world would enjoy.
That said, we’ve recently developed the habit of eating our own dogfood. Blog posts sure are nice, but they don’t mean much if we don’t show the world our report card. So we got on a call with Pressable to convince them to open source it. Thankfully, they were only too happy to oblige.
So, without further ado, and with maybe just a bit of trepidation, we present to you, Fresh Smiles! Hop on over to see how fresh our support really is!
Why putting up your support ratings is a great idea:
a) Trust is a five letter word that you can’t take for granted – Nothing earns you trust like transparency. And if you’ve got your customers’ trust, love is to follow. Render your word oak by producing this snazzy report, any given time.
b) WYSIWYG. Really – You can leave your customers wondering about your support skills. Or you can show them exactly what they can expect when they send you a support request.
c) Keep your promises – Putting your support ratings on display also helps make your team more accountable. It’s the equivalent of you breathing down their necks every second of every day.
How to put up your own Happiness Report:
It’s really really simple. Just follow the instructions on this page, and you’ll be good to go.
But wait, there’s more! A little bit of holiday cheer
It’s a well-known fact that the aftermath of Black Friday is no fun when it comes to customer support. So, we thought we’d do our bit and spread a little holiday cheer to make the dank and gloomy world of support a little bit brighter, happier and transparent-er.
Register for the Say Cheese campaign and be one of hundreds to win goodies worth over 50 grand. The catch? There is none. All you have to do is continue delivering exceptional support to your customers, and you’re golden.
