And the winner of the Microsoft Bizspark India Startup Challenge is…

A total of 400 companies from across India had applied for the contest and 15 companies were shortlisted as finalists. The final event was held at Hotel Lalit Ashok Bangalore yesterday where the finalists made a business pitch, demoed their app and answered questions from a grand jury of six judges which included Venture Capitalists, an Angel Investor, a Serial Entrepreneur, a senior Microsoft executive and a startup incubator.
Freshdesk was declared the winner of the competition in the Cloud category and the first prize is a free grant from Microsoft for US$ 40,000. We are thrilled that we won and we would like to thank Microsoft for doing this event to identify and nurture promising startups.
We also would like to extend our hearty congratulations to the other winner – Reach360Ads and the runner-ups - Zevenseas and Live-Inbox.

Freshdesk selected as a Finalist in the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge!!

15 finalists have been shortlisted from across the country and will be competing in the final pitch event in two categories – Cloud and Mobile.
There is a total of $100,000 in free grants from Microsoft – One $40,000 prize for the winner in each category and one $10,000 prize for the runner-up in each category.
The finals will be held on June 23rd in Bangalore
