We just wrapped up the 2nd edition of our Freshdesk Reseller Conference. Or as Selwyn Uy from i4Asia calls it: a reunion of Freshdesk’s extended family members.

We bid adieu to 35 guests, who had traveled thousands of miles from across the globe just for this annual event, which lasted four power-packed days and consisted of learning, sharing, and fun in equal measures.
The success of our reseller program is based on a single motto: mutual growth while doing what we love, which is enabling companies of all sizes to deliver exceptional support to their customers.
The theme of this year’s conference was Collaborate for Success. Our objective was to create an environment for our partners which is conducive to learning from and with each other. The opening day saw partners learn about Freshdesk’s vision through keynotes from Girish Mathrubootham (CEO) and Nishant Rao (COO).
The following days were all about product deep-dives and open sessions with several functional teams on the roadmap ahead, as well as peer-to-peer learning and sharing of best practices in sales, marketing, and professional services.

What we learned from our resellers:
We took this event as an opportunity to learn a thing or twenty from our partners. The partners brought quite a few insights to the table, such as an understanding of the local market and competition, their approach to problems, and solutions to achieve business goals for customers in their region.
Our Freshservice product experts organized a workshop for the resellers and walked out of the room more than satisfied with the domain expertise and problem-solving capabilities of the partners. The channel managers wore proud smiles on their faces not unlike parents at their children’s graduations.

Taking into account feedback from previous reseller conference, this year we included Partner Talks where we had partners present what worked for them in 2016.
- Marcus Landgren from Swedbyte, one of our outbound champions, held a session on outbound sales.
- Nuttanee Hayukt, our Thai reseller who organized a hugely successful event last year with a significant turnout, spoke extensively on event organization.
- Our French partner, Stefan Letko, shared the success story of a very large implementation that was executed by Cirruseo, along with the challenges and the solutions employed to overcome the same through integrations, feature deployments, and customizations.
We believe the sessions were a huge hit because it is always good to learn from like-minded folks who are working towards the same goal as you. Selwyn also echoed the same sentiments:

We’d also like to give a special shout-out to Alexander, President at GB Advisors, who never shied away from asking questions, and in doing so, allowed others to learn from and with him. Thanks, Alex, you are a hoot and a half!
